The cost for these human hair extensions is very reasonable and a great value because you can use the hair up to 3 times. Application time is cut in half versus most other methods and takes less than one hour. The removal and re-bonding process is so gentle on the hair that there is never any pulling or discomfort. Synthetic Hair Extensions
The Platinum Lounge is one of the busiest salons in California utilizing synthetic hair extensions. We carry a large inventory of hair, so you never have to wait for hair to be ordered.

Luxurious Locks: In most cases, regardless of your current hair length, you can have long, beautiful-looking hair in about two hours.
Volume: Extensions will add fullness and styling support to your hairstyle and are virtually undetectable for thinning hair.
Highlights: For clients who have dark hair but want vibrant red or light blonde highlights without the damage and fading of chemical processing.
Avant-Garde: colors, sticks, braids, can all be achieved with hair extensions.
ABOUT OUR SYNTHETIC HAIR EXTENSIONS METHOD:
ProHair: We use ProHair fiber for our synthetic hair extension work. ProHair looks, moves, and feels like natural hair. It is lightweight—so you will never feel “extra weight” in your hair. What’s more, the color never fades, and it is easy to maintain.
Custom-blending: The extension fiber is custom-blended to match your own haircolor.
Application: Our hair extensions are applied without the use of any glues or chemicals. This is because the extension hair is attached at the base of your own hair using an extremely fine braid. Then, using a special heat tool, the extension braid is sealed onto itself. Your own natural hair is safely protected inside the extension braid and does not come in contact with the heat tool. Overall, your natural hair continues to grow as normal, intermingling with the extensions. So, when it comes time to take them out, your own hair will be in just as good a condition as it was the day we put them in.
Method: We utilize two methods for applying extensions. The first method, “Single-Hand”, is performed by one stylist. The second method, “Second-Hand”, is performed by two stylists working together as a team.

If at any time, you decide to remove your extensions, we will generally be happy to remove them for you at no charge.* However, there will be an hourly rate charge if there is matting or tangling present.

Q & A for Synthetic Hair Extensions
Q: How long does my hair have to be in order to be suitable for hair extensions?
A: We recommend that hair be at least 4 inches in length because your existing hair will be used to conceal the extension braid. It is possible to apply extensions on hair shorter than four inches, however, a consultation is required.
Q: How much do extensions cost?
A: The cost depends on your own hair and the hairstyle you desire. Refer to our price list for pricing ranges. Consultations are always free, so the best thing is for you to call us to schedule a consultation appointment.
Q: How long will extensions last in my hair?
A: On average, extensions can last up to 10-12 weeks, depending on how well you maintain them at home.
Q: Is ProHair human hair?
A: No, ProHair is a synthetic fiber that looks and feels like healthy human hair, but unlike human hair, holds its style for days, even after shampooing.
Q: Can you treat ProHair extensions the same as your own hair? I.E. shampooing, conditioning, curling, brushing, etc
A: Hair extensions are a lot of fun and easy to maintain. A complete after-care program will be provided to you at your appointment.
Q: Can you color your hair when wearing ProHair extensions?
A: Yes, hair color has no effect on extensions because the fiber is non-porous. So, you can continue to get your color done with extensions.
Q: Can you perm your hair when wearing ProHair extensions?
A: No, you cannot apply a perm over extensions. However, a curly look can be achieved by either using wavy extension fiber or hot rollers.
