The other day i had a new client that had buzzed her beautiful long hair off. It had been a couple months and just couldn’t wait for it to grow back. So she wanted to add length to the sides to create an A-line.

When thinking about getting hair extensions, not everyone wants long flowing length. Some may just want to add a little pop of color, or even exaggerate a cut they already have. Maybe you even have a bad haircut that you’re trying to grow out and never knew that there were options to help get you there faster. Here’s to showing you that anything is possible.

Over these past few weekends I have been spending most of my time sipping on tea and watching TMC. To which I pleasantly discovered the fantastic Ziegfeld Follies! This film is overflowing with some of the biggest talents from the 1940’s.

On top of great dance numbers by Fred Astaire and Gene Kelly, beautiful serenades by the gorgeous Judy Garland- my eyes feasted upon Esther Williams delightful milkmaid braids in “A Water Ballet.”

Back in 1945 they made their silver screen appearance on Esther complimented by white flowers and they’re still making their rounds on contemporary celebrities such as Nicole Richie, Jennifer Connelly and Sienna Miller just to name a few.

They’re super simple. Either you can work with your own long hair or a braided extension piece from the salon (I prefer the latter.) Voila! Adorable milkmaid braids!

My good friend Stephen recently just moved to Colorado, but before he did, there was one thing that he asked me to do…give him a super awesome rat tail!

This was done with the synthetic extension method that we do at the salon.
