Cosmetology professionals are trained in all aspects of beautification processes, including cosmetics, hair and nail treatments. The Platinum Lounge family encourages your passion for what you love most and offers positions to compliment your skills.

Positions are available for entry level and senior stylists at full time which includes 35-40 hours per week at 5 days a week. In addition to part time with a minimum of 2 days scheduled with floating days as needed.

Entry Level Hair Stylist (Level 1 – Level 2):
Entry Level Hair Stylists are immediately put into a vigorous training program. In addition, these stylists undertake routine tasks in the initial stages, assisting senior hairdressers with client preparation, shampooing, application and removal of simple hairdressing treatments, sterilization and maintenance of equipment, and maintaining the cleanliness of the salon. As entry level stylists gain experience they carry out more complex tasks under supervision. You will have opportunities to work at hair shows and classes.

Senior Hair Stylist (Level 3 – Level 4):
Senior Hair Stylists keep on the cutting edge of fashion, hair styles, hair color techniques, and extensions. They are able to create fashionable hair styles in accordance with their customers’ wishes. At this level you begin training to become an educator and even platform work if you desire to take it all the way. You will be trained to become an expert in the skills of shampooing, coloring, cutting and styling of the hair. In addition to training, hair stylists must have good communication skills in order to build rapport with the salon’s clients. Key responsibilities include customer focus, client relationships, analyzing information, organization, creativity, attention to detail, confidentiality, professionalism, maintaining cleanliness, and to perform hair styling services as required.

Prestigious Hair Stylist and Educator (Level 5):
Once completing the Platinum Lounge level system you will achieve your Level 5 title. This is a floor management level. You will be an expert in all fields of hairdressing and have the expertise to help others grow in their career path.

Nail Technician:
Nail Technicians are trained to safely sculpt and care for a client’s fingernails and toenails. They perform proper application of colors, other nail enhancements, cutting techniques and styles, are able to perform manicures, pedicures and other nail styling procedures. Furthermore, you will have education opportunities to continue building your skill set.

Make-Up Artist:
Cosmetic professionals should be familiar with all types of make-up. In addition, they should understand how to match a color to a skin tone and develop a beauty plan that our clients are comfortable with. For the make-up artist communication skills are key. Fashion make-up, high definition make-up and special event make-up are our areas of expertise.

Front Desk/Reception:
Primary focus is on answering phones, scheduling and directing clients to and through the business, managing the cash drawer and providing key customer service.

Salon Manager:
The manager is responsible for overseeing the professionals that work at the salon on a day-to-day basis and acts as a role model for all salon employees. They ensure efficient running and profitability of the salon, implementing systems the salon utilizes, makes certain quality standards for services are met, and ensuring client services are carried out.
