I have not been fortunate enough to have the opportunity to travel out of the country yet. This doesn’t stop me from dreaming of sidewalk cafe’s, baskets of macaron’s and entire days filled with espresso and good conversation.
I have had the delight of joining my darling friend, Megan, to a place close to home called Chocolate. We feasted upon pots of melted cheese, butternut squash pasta rosettes and dark leafy greens. Plus an abundance of truffles.
Tucked away behind thin green branches, there lies a serenading waterfall and glowing white lights, which I imagine to be as close to my cafe dream as I will get for now. An ideal spot for people watching and fulfilling any chocolate craving- this is the place to go. Located at 1522 Pacific Ave, downtown Santa Cruz across from Chefworks.
